Esme (Zhoulin) Li
is a sophomore (‘23) at Barnard College, intending to major in either chemistry or computer science. In her past, she studied surface chemistry, specifically on self-assembled monolayer, at the University of Michigan, Ann-Arbor. And she spent the last year researching on attachment of dynamic membrane in ultra-filtration of oil/water emulsion with Doctor Lv from State Key Laboratory of Urban Water Resource and Environment, Harbin Institute of Technology, China. Fascinated by the combination of storytelling and science, Esme had started a science publication, illustrating scientific phenomena with humorous language and cartoons. In her free time, you will most likely find her improving her PhotoShop skills, trying to plan out her life, or dancing at music festivals.
